I'm super obsessed with natural skincare. If you don't already know how amazing chemical-free products are for your skin and your wallet, check out 3 reasons why natural is better.

Since making the switch away from chemicals, I’ve never felt better. I’m spending less money. My skin looks and feels great. I have peace of mind knowing that I’m not supporting businesses that are profiting off of toxicity, environmental devastation, and cruelty.

Plus, I feel super luxe when I go through my daily skincare routine! I actually look forward to pampering myself by nourishing my skin with natural ingredients. Self care is so important and carving out a little time for yourself can do wonders for your over-all well being.

So, I want to share my super affordable, chemical-free skincare routine with you. I spend less than $120 ($118.78 in total) for all of these products. They will last me around 3-4 months. My skin is normal/dry so if your skin composition is similar, I would wholeheartedly recommend the products below. If you have a different skin composition, I'd love to hear back about your experience with these brands or your favorite natural products.

    1)  Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub - $9.99

Vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free, certified organic, made in the USA

I use this scrub 2 or 3 times a week. It has organic sea kelp, lemon peel, argan extract and chlorella which gently exfoliate away any dry skin. It's amazing.

    2) Acure Organics Facial Cleansing Gel - $7.27

Vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free, certified organic, made in the USA

I rotate nightly between this cleanser and the scrub above. I've never been a fan of traditional face washes because I feel like they either dry out my skin or just don't work for me. I've had much better luck with cleansing oils but I decided to give this gel cleanser a try because I like other products from the line. It does a great job cleansing without drying and I really like the fresh citrus smell. Plus, it has "echinacea plant stem cells and organic chlorella growth factor help activate new cell growth." Sweet!

    3) Thayer Lavender Witch Hazel - $7.99

Vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, alcohol free

After cleansing I use this all alcohol-free toner made from witch hazel and aloe vera to balance the PH of my skin, remove any additional impurities, and prep my face for absorbing maximum moisture.

    4) Acure Organics Seriously Glowing Facial Serum - $14.99

Vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free, certified organic, made in the USA

I love, love, love this product! It's labeled as a serum but feel like that's kind of misleading. I would classify it as a balancing, lightweight oil. I usually use this twice a day, either in the AM before I apply makeup or at night under my night cream for extra moisture.

I've tried other facial oils that have felt heavy or sticky but this is light and absorbs into the skin completely after a few minutes leaving me with a dewy glow. This is probably my favorite find on my organic beauty journey thus far.

    5) ACURE Night Cream - $12.23

Gluten and cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free, made in the USA

You may have noticed by now that I'm obsessed with this brand. I use this cream at night after my serum. It has a soothing botanical type of smell and lots of "targeted nutrition for overnight age defying action."

    6) BAREMINERALS Prep Step Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Shield Daily Prep Lotion - $30

Formulated without oils, parabens or fragrance, cruelty-free, chemical-free

I'm a sunscreen junkie so if I will be outside at all, I use this under my makeup. It's mineral based and I find it works just as well as the SPF 100 chemical-based sunscreen I used to use.

    7) SHEAMOISTURE Coconut & Hibiscus Foaming Milk & Body Wash - $9.99

Family Owned and Operated Business, Natural, Certified Organic, Sustainably Produced, Sulfate Free, Paraben Free, Cruelty Free, made in the USA

Why was I using chemicals all my life to cleanse my body? Ugh, I love this organic cleanser so much more! I seriously feel like I'm on vacation every time I take a shower. The smell is rich and coconutty and it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

    8) Organic Sustainably Farmed Virgin Coconut oil - $7.95

Certified Organic, Gluten Free, BPA Free,  Fair Trade, Sustainably Farmed, Dye and Additive Free, No Artificial Ingredients, Pesticide Free, Preservative Free

Every natural beauty babe needs a jar of coconut oil. It's basically a cure-all. I use it on chapped lips, for oil pulling, and as a moisturizer after being in the sun.

But, my favorite use is the scrub I make by mixing coconut oil with epsom salt. I use the scrub every other day in the shower - before cleansing. It both exfoliates and moisturizes my skin.

Recipe: 1 cup coconut oil, 1 cup epsom salt, a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Stir it together and keep it in a mason jar in the shower. Your skin will thank you!

    9) Epsoak Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate USP) -$8.99

Made in the USA, Non-GMO, Natural

This is the salt I use for the scrub I detailed above. It's also a beneficial mineral booster to add to a detoxifying bath. Epsom salt is pure magnesium sulfate. Magnesium eases stress, improves sleep, and boosts concentration. It also "helps muscles and nerves function properly and regulates the activity of over 300 enzymes. Sulfates are known to flush toxins, improve absorption of nutrients, and help form joint proteins." If you're sore after a work out or just feeling burnt out, a warm bath with this stuff will bring you back to life!

    10) Acure Organics Calming Body Lotion - $9.99

Vegan, gluten and cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free, made in the USA

Honestly, I wasn't sure about this lotion at first. It seems like it's not going to absorb into the skin right after you apply it, but then all of a sudden it sinks in. The consistency took some getting used to but the smell is amazing and it keeps my skin supple so I'd still recommend it to a friend.
